Good morning,

I have just been speaking to a chap who works in our business, he undertook the NGC in June and has just received his results and he failed paper 1 - the Management Paper.

On enquiring with his tutor he was notified all 13 candidates had failed the same paper - has anyone has any similar feedback?

That would be a little bit concerning to me

Reflection of the trainer most likely
NGC1 does tend to have a higher fail rate than NGC2 though.

I can pretty much guarantee this is not due to NEBOSH though, their QC is very rigourous and very fair.

IMHO -assuming you are not totally dim, the only way to fail NGC is poor coaching and application of exam technique.

The June paper was noted as being 'harder' than normal, with a reported lower national average of passes than would be expected. (I don't think this has been confirmed yet)

But for everyone to fail...

We're waiting for NEBOSH to release the national pass rates so we can see if our experience of slightly lower pass rates was reflected nationally.. until then.

But for all candidates to fail? Don't get me wrongI found it very heard (Having never really been involved in health and safety and certainly not the management side).

I would personally put in a complaint to the provider and try and get to th bottom of what was wrong- how far off you were etc. if you were only a mark or two off you may want to consider putting it in for a remark?

My brother failed the NGC 1 exam from June, he got quite a low score as well whereas his NGC 2 mark was high, from what he told me about his experience from the exam, he said it was a real hard one compared to the practice ones he had been doing.

I would contact the provider, if all person on that course failed it is defo a bad reflection on the provider or trainer

I was lucky enough to have an exceptional tutor, our class had 100% pass and nobody achieving less than a credit. There was only 6 of us though....
