Working towards completion of NEBOSH Certificate, whilst just about to have completed 30 years working in Law Enforcement and seek a new career path. To obtain experience within the H&S environment I would value anyone's advice on where to find work experience to improve my employment opportunities? Construction, engineering, factory, maritime, energy etc etc

If trying to get into a h&s role in a factory/energy sector it is often very beneficial to also have experience and qualifications of an engineering/technical discipline.

Hi Welcome to the world of health and safety. Sometimes its not easy to get in to if you have no experience or relevant qualifications. Some firms do run work experience schemes, some run one day a week sessions, the downside being there would be no or very little pay, the up side would be experience shadowing a H&S professional and it could be included on your CV. What area in the UK are you based ???? steve w
