Hi all, We are a relatively new company in respect of collecting data and has over the past 2 years just started to compile stats with regards to accidents, near misses and safety observations. I have been tasked with setting some targets for 2015, I want these to be realistic targets that we can aim for over the year. Has anyone got any ideas? I want these targets to be SMART goals.

SPR; are you after the %increase/decrease or the metric that you want to measure? If the latter you have already mentioned 3 good ones. Also consider audit reports and N/C's, lost time accidents, riddors, AFR and ASR will give you a like for like comparison on past/present performance, training hours. If its the former then without the numbers its difficult to put a figure on it - what might seem realistic to me might be too ambitious for you. Can you give us a bit more detail? You know the organisation (well after 2 yrs I hope you do) and what might be achievable. Cheers Stuart
