I was just reading through the local newspaper (albeit digital) when I stumbled across this article. http://www.eadt.co.uk/ne..._constant_care_1_3848168 The poor chap that received the initial injuries then went on to have a further accident at home as a result of his ill health brought on by the incident. It goes to show how an accident can have a much longer lasting effect on someone's health and way of life.

Agree - I think it illustrates some of the unquantifiable costs of accidents, and certainly I think in most HSE prosecutions I read about, it surprises me how long it takes people to recover from the injuries they receive. From our standpoint, Keep fighting the good fight!

I typed chainsaw into the new paper search engine and it came up with quite a few cases, one where a young lad almost removed his head!
