The nurses in our Trust have been assisting the porter by pushing the mobile drip stand next to the bed, which the porter pushes. It only needs the nurse not to push the drip stand at the right speed and we could have a calamity if a drip is dislodged. Currently our porters secure the drip with a makeshift tourniquet in most cases. How do others address this problem are there dedicated attachments available?

You can get drip stands that attach to the framework of the bed. Surely you could just turn off the drip during transportation and place the bag on the bed and turn back on when in situ? Obviously depending on the treatment!
