Just starting out a small consultancy. Primarily looking after things like FRA etc.. I would be very interested to hear how you market your businesses and drum up a little more work :)

Hi, Welcome to the consultancy club :0)
My advice is to build your network of contacts and to take full use of free services such as Twitter and LinkedIn (free is good!) There are also numerous breakfast clubs, etc, and organisations such as the FSB.
A website is also valuable in that it gives you an air of credibility with potential clients - the website "confirms" that you exist and are not just a ghost on the end of a mobile phone.
There are many - a great many - h&s consultancies out there (as any Google search will demonstrate) so you need to somehow differentiate yourself from the others. Maybe you have particular expertise in a specific sector, or can offer something that other consultancies can't? Whatever the answer, you need to have something to offer which clients need yet can't easily find elsewhere.
I see that you're a member of Bristol & West, as am I, so if you'd like to give me a call on 07771 538 985 I'd be happy to have a chat.
Andy
