Just a short one,
I wondered what peoples experiences where of going on a Fire Risk Assessors course and which types people would advise as the most appropriate to gain the necessary qualification.
As a CMIOSH I have had plenty of dealings regarding fire associated issues including working with Fire Risk assessors etc but with regards to completing them alone it has mainly been small Office types but would like to evolve and learn more hence any advice is appreciated.

I know Vulcan do a range of Fire Risk Assessors courses and I have been told they are good. Personally I went for the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate- I found that very eye opening, the practical part is a fire assessment, there is alot of information to take in but I did enjoy it. is it just the risk assessment side you are interested in?

Thanks for the feedback thus far and yes it is fundamentally the risk assessment side i am interested in as I completed a course in the past with the firs brigade when the regulations came out regarding what the regulations actually are and have been in charge of fire associated issues in the past so its just the assessments really i need to evolve.

In my personal opinion and I have no relationship with these, Warrington Fire are very good. They have a fire risk assessor register and train and have workshops etc.

I used CS Todd and thoroughly enjoyed the 3.5 days training.
