Hi Guys. I am currently studying for my NVQ level 5. As part of my evidence I have to supply proof of safety meetings etc. As we are only a small company I often give "toolbox" talks on an individual basis. However everything I seem to find suggests toolbox talks should be around 4 staff members and last for around 15min. So in your opinions could my individual talks be classed as toolbox? Thank you

Hi. Yes, the guidance is just that - guidance! I've given TBTs to 1, 4 10, 20 people. It all depends on your individual circumstances. As long as you can explain in your evidence submission the rationale for using this as an example you should be fine. I did and it worked fine. Cheers

Your talks are real TBTs, but maybe they are not safety meetings. I assume you have safety meeting to comply with the relevant regs? Use that as evidence instead
