Just been advised by our contractor that the reinstatement works for an empty office at end of lease will now be covered by CDM 2015. Works involve removal of partioning walls, furniture and some touch up painting. Quote for works about £11k - to provide some idea of size. I am not convinced this is correct and appears to be an extreme interpretation - any thoughts?/ Many thanks

The work was captured by CDM 2007. Given the emphasis on proportionality, this shouldn't present any significant problem or additional expense?

I agree, works are captured by both CDM 2007 and 2015. However there may be some small additional cost in documentation if CDM 2015 is applied.
