I have made a proposal at work that we produce an induction video for an upcoming project.
Have any of you got any experience in doing this? Can you recommend any production companies?
I am sure my time would be better spent out on site rather than delivering the same information 2 or 3 times a week every week for the next couple of years!

But I personally dont like the video/dvd mode of communication. I dont think the guys are interested, more often than not the dvd is turned on and no one remains in the room to observe, the jobs are forever changing so the dvd dates very fast.

Hi, despite the negativity above there is a place for a film in an induction. I have around 1500 to do in a very short period of time in a month or so and the film helps.
And yes, I would recommend a very good outfit. AON productions. Run by Geoff Bicker and Dereck Donohoe. Very very professional, very good product and a very good price. My only connection is I have used them twice along with colleagues they are our go to film makers
