Hi.
I am currently working towards my NVQ level 5. My intention is to use this as a stepping stone to a new start with a new company. I know with this completed I can apply for GradIOSH status, which i will be able to insert after my name.
However does anyone know if there are any other letters i can add, as a diploma can i add dip? My course is not through OCR.
Thank you

You can only add post nominals for a acedamic professional qualification such as the highly regarded NEBOSH Diploma.
This fine qualification allows you to add DipNEBOSH at the end of your name, An academic qualification is one assessed through written exams
The NVQ Leval 5 is a vocational qualification so you cannot use the word ''Dip'' A vocational qualification is usually more 'hands on' it could be anything from electronics to sport, it may be measured through demonstrating the skill or through completing an apprentiship or similar.

I believe OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and the RSA) have withdrawn their NVQ 5 qualification in Occupational H&S, but they did allow you to use the letters Dip-RSA.
The NVQ 5 in H&S is classed as diploma level but I am not aware of any other body apart from OCR that allow the use of letters behind your name.
I would be interested to know if this is indeed the case.

I am doing my NVQ5 with SHE Knows and hope to pass with OCR assessing it in April. Does this mean I can use the Dip RSA if I pass?
