HSE have, this morning, published their revised L Series Guidance Document (L153) to the CDM Regulations 2015: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l153.pdf For those that are interested.

Has construction information sheet 59 been revised too or are there any guidelines on welfare facilities for domestic' short duration projects. In terms of alternative facilities for transient construction sites, the current information sheet states that it may be appropriate to make arrangements to use facilities provided by the owner of existing premises in which the work is being done, local public facilities or the facilities of local businesses. Ta.

Chris yes I do. I know I can print off a copy of the online link but that uses too much ink, then I have to bind it ........ Rather buy a hard copy.

Just ordered a hard copy from HSE Books, £15.00. Quite painless really.

Yes (NB my link was to buy the booklet, not the same as #1), I was trying to be helpful for once. I prefer to read hard copy than off a computer screen and as you say cost of ink, time etc adds up (The L153 is 90 pages). I tend to print off if I want to review the whole thing. However if I'm just trying to find a specific piece of info I download the PDF and then do a "find" word search. I know its is 90 pages as I have just printed it ( double sided to save a tree) so I can read over the holiday weekend. Trying hard, but failing to have less pieces of paper. Have a nice long weekend all. Chris

...then there are the five duty holder guides published by CITB, "Need building work done" and "Construction Phase Plan (CDM 2015) What you need to know as a busy builder" all published yesterday. 247 pages + another 27 if you print off the regulations to replace 119 pp ACOP. .....and that's before HSE publish a guide aimed specifically at domestic clients + guidance for bigger clients to be published by Construction Clients Group.

And I just got an email from APS telling me that I MUST complete a new CDM 2015 examination if I wish to remain an APS member. I doubt if many former CDMC's will be rushing to study the new CDM guidance with a view to undertaking this examination (or even remaining a member- what's the point now?).

I just listened to the Barbour CDM 15 presentation, given by two CDM C's. When asked a question about what happens to CDM C's now they recommended a CDM Consultant should be included in the project team. What a surprise - not.

Has anyone managed to identify the changes made to the final version of CDM 2015 L153 guidance as compared to the earlier draft? Due to workload I have not had the opportunity to compare the two documents and am unlikely to in the near future. A work colleague has spotted subtle changes to the wording in paragraphs 60 and 61 on page 24. Disappointing that the HSE do not appear to issue a list of the amendments from draft to final version.
