hello freinds, Today morning while performing welding operation, noticed black burning marks on cable due to falling sparks on cable. is it common to burn cable while welding or need fire prrof cable. your response appreciated. afroz

Not so much common, as impossible to avoid! unless you are referring to the mains input cable, in which case I would move it!
