Does anyone has done a SSOW for a vehicle tail lift, tuck under type. Part of the risk assessment for one I have considered working at height, and now I am looking at measures to minimize this risk. For this type of tail lift I couldn't find any sort of barriers or guards, the platform will fold in 2 and will be tucked under the lorry. Has anyone else had the same problem? And if yes how it's been sorted? Cheers

Hi We have side hand rails for our under slung tail lifts however ours do not fold in two (the hand rails fold out) I have seen re-movable side rails for tail lifts this does require on the driver to use them though and not just leave them in the back of the vehicle. The only other option that might work is the swing gate style which we had on some of ours for a while. Some good examples here: http://www.soe.org.uk/do...0from%20Tail%20Lifts.pdf
