Hello,
Can anyone recommend some great user friendly systems for accident and incident recording? The system needs to be internet based as a key requirement for multi-site access.
If you could also state the reason why it works for you I'd appreciate your thoughts.

We use a system called The Action Manager for managing all our health and safety and it includes and accident reporting system and a wealth of other tools.
Our reasons for using the system are:
1. It's internet based and can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection including through mobile phones etc. This is acceptional useful for our workplace as around 50% of our works take place remotely on our customer's sites. 2. Cost - As as really small business most systems are cost prohibitive but this only cost us £240 + VAT per year (covers up to 20 users and then £1 per user per month thereafter). 3. Subject to being given the appropriate details, our customers can access a wide range of our health and safety information at the touch of a button without actually having to contact us for it which can be handy in the event of an emergency call-out outwith office hours. 4. It's really easy for our employees to use with minimal training required for most users except those who will be responsible for the data input, creation of docs etc.
When we signed up to it we got a 3 month free trial which allowed us to ascertain if it was going to be a worthwhile tool or not.

We have recently moved from a paper based form to an intranet based system. We went out for tender with three companies who we met with, and although each system was brilliant, they all had something missing.
So we decided to create one in house, which brought together all the systems we wanted so that it would fit in with our other reporting systems and procedures.
Have you thought about trying to develop one in house? We thankfully had a a very experienced web development team who could create our online system to what we required.
