I would be grateful for some advice on the following : We do not have any gas fired fired plant in a building ,however there is a gas supply to multiple laboratory benches. What are the statutory requirements for the testing of the gas supply , is it a gas pressure ' drop test ' or is there more ? Thanks

I am not sure but I think if the gas supply is mains gas then yes it will need some sort of testing, see The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 for more details. I think regulation 22 applies
