An employee slipped in a shower at a hotel at around 6.00am. He went to hospital and found out he had fractured ribs. He has driven all the way back to work (4 hours) in pure agony. As the accident happened at 6.00am in the hotel do I still need to report this under RIDDOR as he was staying in the hotel to work down South but not working at the time of the accident

this area of 'not working at the time of the accident' may not be true as even sleeping has been deemed to be working in some situations so get a legal expert in to confirm the working position but RIDDOR does not apply as already said

You mean you did not visit the place prior to your employees visit? To prepare a risk assessment? Then a method statement? :-)

I wonder if this was reported to the hotel and they reported as RIDDOR?
