Hi all - can you advise minimum distance LPG gas bottles should be stored from a building? and if it is a regulation for them to be caged? I thought it was but cannot find any reference to this.

It depends upon the quantity?
Cages are a good idea, if theft is a problem.
Typically 2-3m is enough for small amounts of LPG

Not read the advice form the link above. However to answer the original question, storing LPG cylinders in cages is I believe good practice, not a legal requirement. I also believe that LPG cylinders can be stored in a suitable area in a building on the proviso there is an adequate fire wall.
