I am looking at first aid courses for a construction company. I intend to use the British Red Cross or other suitable trainer but I am trying to put the proposal together and need a question answered

I understand the requirement to use a HSE approved first aid company was removed from FAW regs as of 2013.

The HSE CDM page however still states HSE Approved.

Is the requirement different for construction?

As I said I intend to use an approved trainer but I am just making sure when justifying costs.

thanks for any help

I'd guess that this is an oversight on HSE's part and they just haven't updated this particular page yet. As far as I know there aren't any organisations out there any longer who are approved by HSE to deliver first aid training although some are offering training accredited by SQA etc.

I spotted a first aid training company's website that still said they were approved by HSE, I wrote to them and they agreed the statement was out of date.

There's no difference for construction.
