Distance between Sprinkler Towers and moving vehicles

I am currently working on a build project and have reached the limit of my own knowledge on sprinklers/ water towers. Is there a minimum distance that a water tower must be from a vehicle traffic route? I am reasonably comfortable with the current proposed design that shows a 3.7m gap between a trailer parking space and the water tower on the basis of risk assessment: It is a parking space therefore slow movement; there is sufficient access for maintenance access; there is an intention to fit Armco barrier around the parking space to restrict the inadvertent ingress of trailers. Am I missing a formal legal or standard requirement?

I would be surprised if there was a minimum distance but you must control the risks presented. Not many sites could accommodate 3.7m. One of the most significant risks is impact from the heavy goods vehicles which appears to have been addressed. I would look closely at the adequacy of the Armco. Is it sufficient to stop a fully loaded lorry and would take a look at what the Armco design on public roads for some ideas. The tower itself may also have some structural capacity to withstand an impact. You need to consider what the load is. Can the load break free and hit the towers.
