Hello all,

We appoint Subcontractors, to fit our furniture on sites;

I seem to have had a recent influx of requests from clients, for Face-fit testing records, but more specifically..."Mandatory 'Press-to-check' respirators (or better) to be used - instead of disposable masks - from 1st October'.

* Have I missed something?? Is a new requirement coming into force?

JSP do a 'Press-to-check' respirator;
http://www.jsp.co.uk/net...ssToCheck-WhitePaper.pdf
…and claim that this can replace the need for Qualitative Face Fit Testing (see page 1)

* Is anybody using this? And have you had its use (as an alternative to separate Testing) validated by the HSE/other enforcement/auditor?

Your views would be greatly appreciated – Thankyou in advance!

Jennifer
