So from the 1st October those self employed who do not affect anyone else's health or safety are exempt from H&S law.

I cant think of anyone in any self employment, who does not affect anyone else in any way.

That's the issue in a nut shell.
And if the issue arises will it be for the self-employed person to 'prove' that they do not effect anybody else or will the responsibility lie with the HSE?

This one is a bit of a sham. I can't imagine the slightest burden from H&S legislation previously on the people this is aimed at (have I seen mention of scriptwriters and such?). It's more smoke and mirrors.

Are we not familiar with the concept of 'saying something, doing nothing' yet?
