Good Morning
I am looking at using Barcode software to carryout checks at work, i was woundering if anyone else has used or come across this before.
If so i am after ideas of how to say for example if an emergency light was not working would you input this on the scanner or would you have to use 2 barcodes which would mean having a red and green barcode at the point of inspection.
Any help or advice and recommendations of equipment would be apperciated.
Matt

Well there's plenty of such software and devices out there, you only have to look at the staff in the local supermarket doing shelf stock levels to see how easy it is.
I don't see why you would need a double bar code on the item, the code would be to identify the asset, not the condition. You would use another feature to indicate the condition, a bit like using the Red/Cancel or Green/Confirm buttons on a payment card terminal.
Your best bet is IMHO to get some suppliers to demonstrate their systems for you; failing that, go to an Expo or two dealing with such products.
