A quick appeal for some help.

A while ago I used to attend All Saints, Fulham while working in London and helped them with their health and safety compliance. It has been a couple of years since I left to work in Edinburgh and they are in need to someone to give a little help and guidance, preferably on a pro bono basis. Call it a down payment on a halo! I have helped a little by phone and e-mail but they need someone in person for a review.

If there is anyone out there who could give a few hours and is in the area, please get in touch. They are a lovely group of people and have someone on the PCC with responsibility for H&S Matters. They are serious about getting it right if they can.

E-mail me or respond directly if you feel that you can help.

Thanks,

Richard

Do the Church of England not employ someone to do this?

Each Church PCC is expected to look after this themselves. The Church does publish some guidance but the overall help is, at best, slim. Same goes for the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Church of Scotland.

As a result, I have always offered help, free of charge, where I can and within the limits of my own professional competence.

One point to note, if you are ever petitioning for a Fellowship, this kind of assistance goes down well with the panels.
