Hello
We are supplying some welding personnel to a company, who are supplying the same personnel to a main contractor
Unfortunately one of our guys has managed to get a bit of airborne dust / metal in his eye, This incident has been reported to the main contractor who has raised a First Aid Report as the IP went to the medic and had the FB removed.

Our contractor has also raised a First Aid Report, If we raise a First Aid Report it will be three times this Incident has been reported,

Do we have to Double or even Treble Dip the same Incident ??
Thank you

See below from the First Aid FAQ's on the HSE website (does not completely relate to your question but the comments on recording trends/areas of improvement/future needs is relevant). Also, your own duty of care in tracking the progress of your person on another's site. You could make a brief record and maybe link directly to the report(s) in question. Remember to follow up on the person as soon as possible to let them know that you're following them through.

"Do I need to record incidents requiring the attention of a first-aider?

It is good practice to provide your first-aiders and appointed persons with a book in which to record incidents they attend. The information can help you identify accident trends and possible areas for improvement in the control of health and safety risks. It can be used for reference in future first-aid needs assessments. The record book is not the same as the statutory accident book though the two might be combined".
