Hi all, I have been asked by my employer to carry out a light assessment in for the whole of my work place. I have the equipment but I don't have any information in regards to how many lux as a minimum in certain areas ie offices, warehouse and tool rooms also if anyone has a template that I could see so I could create my own would be amazing. Thanks in advance. Kind regards Ash

Try CIBSE http://www.arca53.dsl.pi...dex_files/lightlevel.htm You'll have to cut and paste into search.

Do bear in mind the potential complexities. e.g. FLT moving from light to dark areas, areas of shadow immediately outside brightly lit task areas, etc. And do speak to the people who work in those areas!

I would suggest that you measure in a number of places within each work area. I have one small area of a section where the Lux levels are below the guidance levels. When a local light was put there, it caused a reflective glare to one of the other work benches from a piece of equipment. A quick conversation, a bit of movement of benches and it was all sorted to everyone's satisfaction.
