My company wish to bring in round desking for seating 6,7 or 8 people in some areas of the business. Some departments have elected to use round desks as their permanent workstations. Some people use 2 monitors. We'll have a few other round desks throughout the office to be used for hot desking. I think it is a nice idea (a bit different!) however I can foresee some limitations. We are going to conduct a trial with 2 departments. I'd be grateful to hear if anyone has experience of using round desks as workstations in the workplace - have you encountered any H&S issues? Am I being pessimistic?
Thank you!

A complete and uninterrupted circle? Waste of space? Either a vast hinterland of unreachable dusty desk top or else a lagoon of grubby carpet and trailing wires that never gets cleaned or vacuumed?

Oh dear (and not even a Friday :) )
I think it would be quite pleasant to work like this, but agree, its not the most efficient use of space (which is all important where I work at the mo!)

I agree with the use of space, but I also forsee it as being a bit restrictive with regards to DSE assessments. People don't all fit into the same style of workstation for many reasons, and in some cases require different height desks. Nice thought, but I agree, some limitations.
