Have any of you noticed the Government have improved the EA site again and there is now a .Gov site to check carrier licences after 27/03/2015. The new site only lists the company name and registration number and no expiry date. I don't know about the rest of you, but we used to print the EA page and put in our file to prove to auditors that we do check. However printing from this new site seems like it would be pointless. How are others intending to prove they check to auditors ? Ps to make it even less user friendly you can only search by company name and not the registration number. Tip I searched for a company that had Facilities management in its title ie something Facilities management it produced a lot more hits than just the first word. So when searching less is best. Chris

The 'new' site is in the process of being updated. I rang the EA last month saying how our clients were doing searches on the old site (which was available at the time, as well as the new site) and couldn't see our carriers licence renewal. Netregs is my biggest loss with regard to legislation and updates! I get 100's of emails a week now from subscribing to the gov site updates

The old site is still there for carriers registered before 27/03/2015 but any that register after you have to go to the new site. You still use the old site for exemptions and Site Management licences. Yes the new site has Beta at the top, but you have no choice to use it as the old one does not have the newer registrations. Yes I will probably Give them some feedback. Yes I have not signed up for the Gov update, as I think you will be inundated by lots of rubbish, not just the main ones. It seemed to include all minor by laws etc. Will re visit that when more time (HAHA) Do other print page as proof or have they found another method that auditors accept. Chris
