Dear Forum
Does anyone have experience in implementing staff ID cards in hospitality setting? if so, what barriers did you face, and how were they overcome.

the barrier i am facing in limited buy in, despite explaining clear benefits of guest recognition of employees

Hi Westwick

one place I used to work had ID badges the main gripe from the staff was that some customers read their names and acted as though they knew the person personally.

though I am not sure why you posted the question here. Surely it is a HR problem

I would suggest that the types of ID badges were of the type suitable to avoid getting into the food and drink.

Other than that, I'm not sure of any other H & S implication
