Can anyone advise on the recommended frequency for maintenance of fire dampers?

Hi northeast.

I work for a large FM company, and we carry out an annual test on spring operated dampers (from BS5839-1, +A2, BS 8214, and BS 9999), and a 2 yearly test on non spring operated dampers (from BS5839-1, +A2, CIBSE Guidance Notes, and BS 9999).

We also carry out a 6 monthly inspection and clean of fire valves (from BS5839-1, +A2, CIBSE Guidance Notes, and BS 9999).
