Is it worth it? Environmental training is already covered by CSCS, ECS, SSTS, SMSTS ect.

Is there a genuine need for SEATs?

It's unlikely I can persuade my organisation to invest in this training unless I can convince them otherwise, but I'm finding it hard to justify at the moment.

None of our clients are asking for us to have it.

Anyone got any opinions?

Can I assume this is something to do with the construction industry?
IOSH is a broad church, we are not all working in construction, so you need to make it clear what you are talking about.

It's another scheme that seems to be spreading like wildfire in the construction industry it seems! Once one organisation thinks its a good idea, the rest follow!

I've not attended it (yet), operatives have as a Client requirement.

Environment is a big deal now, so I'm sure a lot more of these courses will be enforced.

It is a CITB course so you can claim back some of the money for the course.
