On whose Company record does a RIDDOR sit? These statistics are often requested by Clients at pre-qual stage and there does appear to be some debate as guidance is vague. If a RIDDOR occurs on site then it will be reported by the injured persons Employer and definitely be on their record - fair enough. Should the Principal Contractor (obviously in control of H&S management on site as a duty under CDM 2015), also add this RIDDOR to their performance stats? Could this then extend further up the line, so that the Client also records it? After all, isn't this a reflection on their own pre-qualification process????!

You could record the RIDDOR on anybody’s statistics when completing a prequalification questionnaire, or nobodies. It does not really matter since the form goes back to some bean counter who has no idea what they are doing and is just blindly following a protocol… yes I am very cynical about these questionnaires!
