Hi all

I'm sure this is not the first time this has been asked but here goes!

Under CDM 2015 can a PD move into a PC role once the Pre construction phase has been completed? So in other words can they be the same individual/company

If this is the case then when appointing in writing can they be appointed both roles in one letter etc?

Cheers

Mike

Yes, and often more efficient to be dual role, considering PC actions at the preconstruction phase if you have that luxury. Construction phase solutions can be agreed devised and consolidated very early on?

As above, it can be done and indeed there are many good reasons why the PC and PD should be the same. It should be remebered that for BOTH roles the appointed need to be competent to carry out that specific role pursuant to CDM Regs 2015.

One letter can be used for appointing both roles.
