Anyone attending the above? I have had confirmation I think it will be a great opportunity to see that side of the division.

Invictus, no I won't be there but I think I should get myself a bullet proof vest in case you come out of the presentation with a gun. Ha ha

When I need to be serious I am, if something strikes me as funny I respond in that fashion, no offence is intended.

At the next meeting maybe we should add our user names to the name tags. I do not use 'invictus' to hide from anyone on here, I have to because the company asks, so that my own views are not taken as that of the company. I have noticed that in port sunlight there are no 'stocks', so I should be safe and I have been in training so I can run.

Why would you think you need a bullet proof vest. Are you implying that Invictus might want to shoot you? Yes - guns and shooting - always a source of entertainment :-/

What about virtually every western ever made, every war film ever made, every gangster film ever made. Dont you find any of them entertaining ? They have guns and shooting. etc etc.

When were they made on the streets of Port Sunlight? Anyway it's different on the big screen than being real life, I would imagine!

Yes, because films and TV programmes are exactly the same as real life :-/ As I said, highly entertaining to suggest that a fellow professional might want to shoot you. HaHa

Maybe. Just not my idea of grown up humour. If you could call it humour. Back OT - Invictus, it sounds really interesting. It's a pity it's not nearer, would be great to get a good insight into the workings of the main emergency services.

I think it will be really interesting! It's a part of the force that you don't get to see, unless you later need a change of underpants.

Years ago I went to an 'Operation Cloudburst' on Merseyside - I had a site sandwiched between to top tier COMAH sites and the exercise involved on gong scenarios between the sites and Merseyside's response services. It was fanatic day and provided a real insight into how disasters are managed.

Attended this yesterday and it was a real insight into the division. An opportunity to safetly undergo what they do daily, looking at the training aspectes and the safety legislation and we had a go at the laser system shooting the bad guys, well at least most did.
