Colour codes again for lifting gear on new site ?

Hi all
Trawling through the search tab for discussion on colour coding for our lifting accessories but cant seem to find any , any pointer please
Just had all our lifting gear inspected and appropriate colour changed , however a new workplace owner wants us to tie in with their colour when we mobilise to their site. I can just see headaches ahead. Especially as we may only be on site for 10 days max.
I see zero pros in this and I suppose am looking for plenty of cons to put forward.

What about dual colouring - keep your colour but add theirs as well. When you leave site you can cut theirs off.

It is a very common method, align to the client and your own colour coding criteria.
The key to the aspect is managing it - and getting your lifting & rigging personnel to understand the basics and what to do in the event that one or more of the colour code identifications are missing.

Is this is a client additional imposing post contract conditions? If so, find out how much it will cost to get all your kit retested and retagged. Add a minimum of 15% for admin and profit margin, then ask if he is willing to foot the bill as an extra on the contract!
How long I wonder before someone suggests we should be using the same colours, or perhaps tagging with numbers sequentially like car number plates....
The client is entitled to ask how you ensure the safety of your kit.anything beyond that is an unreasonably imposition and should be resisted or charged as an extra.
Always assuming his guys won't be borrowing your kit and vice versa of course?!

@ Steve your spot on , ie what happens when the next client wants o start having us aligned to their appropriate colour or whatever standard. We could end up just selling ourselves to the mercy of the client because yes " we are the client " we know how it works but thanks for your input Steve.
@ Waz good point it could be diplomatic solution. I think a classic example of failure to safety in that if for example a tag fell of we still have not fallen below standard. Every one would still be aware the kit is still good. And for the proposed time of the job ie very short I think it could be quantified as reasonable.
