Hi everybody , can we use chain block for pulling the materials ,especially for the steel alignment works. Rgs Vinish

Tirfors will be more suitable for pulling. Chain blocks are used for lifting. See: http://www.h-lift.com/wire_rope_winch.htm

The most suitable equipment should be used for any given job and whilst it's not common practice chain blocks can be used for controlled pulling in many circumstances along with tirfors and even a windless 'However' and thats the sticking point as I am concerned because I ask who will be securing and controlling the activity as if a competent person was already in place the question would not haved to be asked and if one is not in place I suggest, on what U have said at this point, that the job be redesigned or a competent person is comissioned -- more info about the task please so a better answer can be given
