Hi Guys
I was wondering if anybody deals with high pressure gas bottles? I am new to health and safety and I wanted to pick your brains.
My company supplies a range of bottled gases to our customers, the pressures involved range from 950psi to 4500psi. Has anybody come across or written any risk assessments on the handling and filling of them? If so I would love to read some examples, this is such a critical area of our business and I want to get some other views on the subject.
Regards
Brad..

I have to say I am slightly (quite possibly very...) concerned. Your company supplies these canisters of gas to customers. Do you produce them or are you acting as the middle man? I would hope that your company would already have risk assessments in place for all aspects of handling the canisters? As Pikeman says, BCGA is YOUR association. I might hope that your company was already a member or at least fully compliant with all their relevant codes of practice.
Maybe I am missing something here....

Hi Nick
Perhaps I should have been more clear, we have a system in place with all the relavent risk assessments but I'm trying to get other views and ideas to see if we can improve them.
