Road traffic accident - RIDDOR

Hi please can anyone clarify if an employee has a road traffic accident and is injured, then has 7 days off work due to this accident, is this classed as RIDDOR due to the fact they have had 7 days off work?

Hi Healthy,

Road traffic accidents are not reportable under RIDDOR whatever the outcome. People working on the roads is a different matter, but your actual RTA, no, not reportable,
