Does anyone know what the width between desks should be during the event of a fire for safe egress?

this relates to a low risk office environment with approximately 50 people on a ground floor level

many thanks

Is that Dave?

Info from the RIBA on office space standards

11m3 space per person (Reg 10 Workplace (HSW) Regs 1992)

Industry best practice is 12 – 17m2 per person

Minimum space between desks 600mm (BS5588)

Chair space from desk edge to nearest occupant 900mm

2 employees chairs back to back 1800mm

Minor office aisle 750mm RIBA

General office aisle 900mm Guidance

Major office aisle 1500mm

Distance in front of filing cabinets single row 900mm

Two rows facing add 1370mm to aisle width

Shelving two rows facing 750 – 900mm
