Hiya,
has anybody got a good example of an individual getting injured in the eye after using a power tool? Especially when NOT using a grinder, but through tightening a bolt?
Thanks

Swarf when using bench grinder, stone dust from stihl saw and drilling upwards onto plaster with no eye protection.

Just received a new one to investigate.
Compressed air nail gun - nail hit operator in the eye. They claim gun was defective.
Looks like it was possibly a double strike due to gun not being moved forward. Ejected nail struck previous nail and rebounded.
Operator not wearing eye protection despite instruction to contrary.
The other common one I encounter is cleaning down work piece with compressed air wand. Swarf or shavings blown away but rebound off vertical surface.

The vibration or exhaust from the power tool (air gun) dislodges some debris which enters the eye?
