Am I correct in saying that within the context of CDM 2015: Who is principal contractor? paragraph 117 when two appointed principal contractors are sharing a same site - but are run independently, then I assume each separate contract can have their own separate appointed Principal Designers.
Has anybody else come across or been involved with a similar scenario?
Thanks,
Damian

It is not that uncommon, especially on large jobs and industrial complexes. As long as they are separate projects you can have two Principal Designers but they must be coordination between them which is normally done through the Client’s arrangements. The strengths and weaknesses of this approached does depend on the details of the projects.
