Hi all,
Just took a new post within a housing association.
I've been looking online for a decent site inspection checklist..(which will include single bedsits with communal areas and an office) but to no avail.
Could any of my IOSH friends point me in the right direction or better still mail me something across?

There are all sorts of different checklists, perhaps you need to be a bit more specific in explaining the site environment. Residents with learning disabilities? Age of building, management arrangements for repair, number of people resident in each location, who is responsible for upkeep etc?

We Manage various blocks of residential dwellings varying in age ,size from 3 bed houses to 60 bed blocks of bedsits.
Our residents are mainly 16-25 year olds although some properties house the 15-16 age group and 3 are of open age.
Some residents may be disabled / pregnant and have learning disabilities, etc.
We have an estates team who manage the upkeep any repairs are dealt with in house also.

Who will be using checklist(s) and why? (objective).
Sounds like you are looking for a total coverage solution. I doubt there is one, although plenty of basic premises walkabout checklists to use as a starter and then add where necessary, after reference to HSE, CQC, and / or any specific policy or standards existing (eg. electrical test schedule).
Make your own - or start one and invite those who will take ownership of the checking to finish them off. That way each building can own one, plus one for the hardware / FM aspects.
We all can knock up a basic checklist surely, but it does depend if it you (SP) using it - can be prompt only, with jargon and abbreviations - or managers, who will need clear language which others understand.
I am unclear what the objective / plan is, maybe why limited replies?

Given you client type, remember to consider some of the following.
Mobility allowances for example, hand rails, colour of walls, highlighting steps, floor coverings etc.
Window restrictors for upper floor windows,
Thermostatic Mixer Valves to limit the hot water outlet temperature,
Gas boiler checks including CO2 detector fitting and operational checks,
Risk of legionella, hot water tanks, cold water storage tanks and infrequently used outlets, like showers, etc.
You may even consider fire rated doors for inside the property for example bedroom and kitchen doors, based on a risk assessment of course.
