Hi All I'm looking for guidance on training and procedural requirements for operators of propane and oxy-propane torch users. We use a number of both to burn off plastic from barrel screws and other parts of injection moulding machines. At present all staff are gas safe trained but there is a concern that this is over the top for what they are doing and may not cover specific risks of this kit. I've reviewed the HSE website and found some general guidance and the BCGA have an enormous code of practice (CP 7) that I shirk away from trying to read and understand at this point, so I'm hoping some of you out there have some experience with these torches and can let me know how you train your guys to use and maintain them. Thanks in advance.
