Yet another magazine - IOSH it appears that its now over kill, over paper and not e-copies - why do we receive so many magazines ! are these organisations not e-friendly and should they not just be emailing us and not filling our recycling bins with even more glossy paper! Come on we all have environmental targets to meet - go "E" on all of us and stop sending out paper magazines - which obviously costs membership thousands of pounds - look at your savings as well

I quite like getting the magazine, I can read it in places i don't use the laptop or PC, Plus some of the advertisers do come in handy when i'm looking for something.
Although it might be a bit more cost effective if members could choose if they wanted the e edition, or hard copy or both?
Might save countless copies being thrown into the bin the minute its delivered

I am happy to have the e-magazines as I know this is better for the planet. But, I have to agree that the paper copy is a much better read.

I like many prefer the printed magazine which I can take into work and read. I also leave it there to enlighten the great and the good!

Nothing stopping you opting out getting the hard copy. Its available as an e- copy too.
Some of us like reading off paper
Some of us are prepared for the next Carrington event ;-)

Prepared for the next Carrington event - wow that is either some serious Business Continuity Plan or a bunker in the woods stuffed with tinned goods ;-)

trebor, I'm sure members who don't want the paper magazine know that they can opt out.
Personally I know I WILL READ the paper magazine, while having a coffee, and if I want to share a link I can then go to the e-mag and do so.
But I just can't get myself into the habit of sitting at the desktop/laptop reading e-magazines e.g. my IOSH and SHP Outlook folders have about 20 unread email notifications.

When I renewed my membership I looked to see if that could be reduced if I opted out of receiving the SHP.
Apparently not.
Therefore I continue to receive the journal at what expense?
Delivery and packaging not to mention the journal itself.

Majority of members would like paper type magazine, if you do not want to receive it just ring the membership department
