Apologies if this sounds basic but it is something I off the pace on. Is there a legal requirement (and if so where) to display the poster http://www.hse.gov.uk/pu...lectric-shock-poster.htm ? I remember years ago that it was important to display it - and change it to reflect First Aid changes such as CPR.
Noting that the HSE states that "This poster is not a substitute for effective first-aid training." unless mandated by law I am not convinced as to its benefits. A quick 'google' has not helped.
Comments and corrections welcomed....
thank you

No, it's not a legal requirement to display the poster.

I am a sceptic about most H&S posters but do see slightly more value in this one than others, when displayed where any significant electrical work may be done. It may just remind a well-intentioned rescuer not to become the 2nd fatality.

David,
BS7255:2012 Code of Practice for Safe Working on Lifts highlights displaying this poster as a "suggested improvement" for safe working on older lifts.
Although not a legal requirement, a suggested course of action in a British Standard for the Lift Industry is one difficult to ignore!
