Hi all, I've spent all morning trying to find the answer with little luck & about 50 tabs open on my internet explorer! I have a query regarding the road transportation of the following in the same van for site operations: 2x 25L plastic drum white spirit (UN1300, transport class 3, packing group II, transport category 2) 1x 25L plastic drum diesel (UN1223 class 3, packing group III) Am I right in thinking that it is okay based on the amounts, providing there is a foam extinguisher, the container is UN approved & correctly labelled, and the driver has had some awareness training by the company of what they are actually carrying? Kate.

Hi Kate. You are correct. Have a look at this: http://www.unece.org/fil...adr2015/ADR2015e_WEB.pdf 1.1.3.6. is the part for exemptions for small loads- the amount you have on a vehicle is classed as a small load. 1.1.3.6.2 gives details of the requirements. Specifically for you is 8.1.4.2- 8.1.4.5- these have to be complied with. 8.1.4.2 tells you what extinguisher you need. Hope this helps Andy

Kate To be more on the safe side and I would make sure they have 2 extinguishers one for the cab and one for the load (2.5kg each )..it isn't legally required but lines up with the spirit of the legislation as you are under the threshold..along with FA kit etc.
