Hi, My client invites all of their contract supply chain to a 6 monthly safety culture workshop. Part of the day is where the supply chain set up market stalls to 'sell' or 'promote' a safety initiative within the business. It needs to be quite interactive, entertaining and safety related. I am competitive, (the market stalls are scored and the winner gets a prize), but not creative. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Neil

I guess it would all depend on what kind of business the company does and then target the idea for the needs of the business. For example id the company is construction related then you could promote specific PPE and safety issues aimed at this industry.
If mainly office based then you could do things like ergonomics, Manual handling etc..

Thanks Gerry.
We are a Property maintenance service provider. Mostly M+E and fabric maintenance. Wanted to try and steer away from the generic manual handling, hazard spotting and 'engineer up a set of steps' as the safety culture of the client is of a greater level at the moment. This is why they challenge us for something new and innovative- give them the WOW factor. As an idea, the 'winner' of the last day was the clients logistics company, who came with an articulated truck and demonstrated the blind spots. Everyone had a chance to sit in the cab and appreciate where the blind spots were.

I'm planning a fit testing demo at our next team meeting.
Along the lines of: put on the mask, adjust do fit, thinks it's OK? Put this bag over your head, can you smell/taste anything?
Gets the message about the need for respiratory protection; the importance of fit testing (most people I speak to don't even know it's a "requirement") and can be fun to watch people's reactions.
A couple of pop-up displays with lots of pictures and a £120 test kit and you're done.

Good idea Ian.
Certainly interactive and gives potential for a surprise element.

Thanks in advance,
Neil Stalls on the following might be appropriate: * blood pressure / BMI stall * tyre safety - show how to measure tread depth, inflation pressures. show damaged and worn tyres * travel health (zika, ebola, malaria), immunisations, bite prevention, assuming your staff travel internationally * personal security awareness * DSE correct/incorrect set up . * chemical handling, effects of chemicals. You can adorn the walls with some interesting pictures related to this.

I wonder, does your client provide you with all the PCI and CDM information your require in good time?
