Hi Does anyone have any good sources for finding health and safety awareness posters i can use in a further education college?, our accident statistics are normally higher in September and October and as part of a raising awareness campaign i wanted to display posters around the site; curriculum areas include: engineering, motor vehicle, catering, childcare, construction, performing arts and hairdressing. I found that the commercial posters did not fit the academic background too well. How about making it specific? A poster that says 'last year N students were taken to hospital with eye injuries - wear your safety specs" might have a better impact. Obviously you customise it your your problem areas. Do you also have issues with the ingenuity of the youth (connecting 9 V batteries back-to-back anyone?)?

I agree Jane, the commercial posters don't fit in the environment , i have started to go down the making our own poster route but was hoping there might be some good resources out there which would have saved some time. With regards to the student involvement, this can be something we build into the learning plans for this year. Thanks Andrew
