Reducing the risk of plant sliding off 'Skids/Ramps' in icy weather?

I have recently taken over as H&S Manager of a construction co. An operative has complained (understandably) about plant sliding off the ramps when offloading/loading plant (bobcats & ride on rollers) due to 'metal on metal' in the icy winter weather and potential associated injuries/fatalities.
They drive 10 ton lorries so, in my opinion, a cable winch wouldn't work. I have contacted the training provider who delivers loading and securing plant and he tells me there is no official legislation for this. I have also contacted the supplier who is getting back to me.
Has anyone experienced this before and actually managed to reduced the risk? Anti-skid strips? Rubber covers for traction??
Thanks
