Just in case anyone missed it the OP cannot use an evac chair, the title of the post is a give away.

I fully support Peter G at #15 on both issues -one the tone of the posts which stand out as unacceptable and it surely would be a reasonable adjustment to change the decision to place OP on the 6th floor given the terms of the Equality Act and the OP's potential rights to claim for discrimination in an Employment Tribunal. [Given the difficulties of so doing with the govts deregulation agenda]

Some of the possible rescue methods suggested seem impracticable, they could, however, be tested on the person making the 1st/6th floor decision!

Regards

Mike

This is quite an interesting and safe way to evacuate a multi-floor building;

We should be allowed to ask the questions as we like, what difference does it make. If pposters don't like how questions are asked then give all the information in the initial post.

An individual's medical history is confidential and my GP charges £60 for a copy but only if I agree.

Some people like to keep their medical conditions to themselves.

I think the OP gave enough information in the opening thread for us all to give him help with some ideas.

My opinion.

If people are not willing to share information, then they stay on the 6th floor, bacause if someone came to me and said, I can't go on the top floor but i'm not saying why then I would do nothing about it.

Just because people have a disability they cannot always be seen, vene if you go off sick there is an expectation that when you ring in you will say why.

So £60 or no £60 you wouldn't be getting any different treatment if you can't say why.

Guess this is how my two postings on CMD training thread went into the ether?

Hooray, third time lucky

Invictus, it is up to the individual whether or not to share personal/private information about their conditions.

I am sure that if you were collecting information for a PEEP you would get the answers to all your questions, enough for you to formulate a plan.

That information is not for public knowledge, as long as everyone involved in your PEEP plan is informed enough to assist in the evacuation.

This is a public forum and some may not wish their personal information to be made public and forum users should not be demanding information and making threats about the OP remaining on the 7th floor just because they won't provide their details.

I thought we were all more professional than that.

I trust the OP has the information he needs, however what a minefireld we have created.
thanks 2 users thanked firesafety101 for this useful post.
